Due to its superior performance, supersonic spraying has been widely used in aerospace (basic standardization of engine compressor blades, bearing sleeves, etc.), steel, petrochemicals, papermaking, biomedical and other fields. It is not only used for repairing damaged parts, but also as a new type of equipment.
1. Applications in the aerospace field
Aircraft landing gear generally adopts hard chrome plating technology. Ultrasonic flame spraying technology is used to reduce environmental pollution caused by chrome plating technology (HVOF), and WC Co coatings for spray painting have gradually replaced chrome plating technology in developed countries such as the West. Compared with chrome plating technology, HVOF coating technology has higher combined strength and better wear resistance. Commonly used to improve the high temperature resistance of aircraft engine blades, HVOF spray painting MCrAlY adhesive bottom layer and plasma spray surface composite coating system can effectively enhance the heat resistance of the coating.
2. Application in the paper industry
Some work rolls in the paper industry require precision grinding every half to four months to maintain good surface roughness. The service life of 100 μ m WC Co working rolls prepared by HVOF can be extended to 15 months.
3. Applications in the field of steel metallurgy
The porosity of WC Co coating with HVOF1000um is less than 1%, and the sealing treatment on the coating surface can increase the service life of the roller from 15 days to 45 to 60 days.
The use of HVOF at a temperature of 650 ℃ to prepare approximately 1000 furnace rolls with um NiCr-Cr3C coating significantly improves the high-temperature wear resistance of the rolls, with a service life of up to 24 months.
Using non-ferrous metal secondary processing rollers. The service life of HVOF spraying has been significantly improved. The forming rollers and conveying rollers on the aluminum plate cold rolling line have their service life increased from 0.5-1 years to 2-3 years after being coated with WC Co through HVOF painting on the aluminum plate cold rolling line.
4. Applications in the petrochemical industry
Supersonic spraying is widely used in the petrochemical industry as a reinforcing plunger. The working temperature is 540C and the pressure is up to 140MPa. The metal seat ball valve contains corrosive mortar in the pipeline. HVOP spray painted WC Co coating, NiCr-Cr3C2 coating, and FeCrNiMo greatly improve the reliability and service life of the ball valve.
